Colloidal Copper

At Atlantean Alchemy, our colloidal copper is produced with 99.998% pure pharmaceutical grade copper in steam distilled and deionized water. Our colloidal copper contains both copper particles and copper ions. Copper ions are powerful antibacterial agents; they are also required for cellular processes such as respiration, neural transmission, tissue maturation, defense against oxidative stress and iron metabolism. Copper ion deficiency can lead to loss of the functions of many enzymes, including cytochrome c oxidase, lysl oxidase, dopamine-b-hdroxylase, superoxide dismutase and ceruloplasmin that govern these processes. The importance of maintaining a proper intracellular copper ion level is manifested in human X-linked Menkes disease.
